This past February, Jorge Herrero joined as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and a member of the Executive Committee. From this position, he will lead the company’s technology strategy and the integration of artificial intelligence into the digital trust services business.
Herrero brings more than 20 years of experience in senior product and technology roles within multinational environments, where he has driven the creation and evolution of large-scale digital platforms.
During his time at eBay Inc., he held various leadership positions in product, technology and innovation. There he led the development of global platforms in areas such as classified ads, loyalty and logistics, contributing to the expansion and scalability of digital solutions used by millions of users.
He subsequently served as technology lead at Entradas.com, where he led the modernisation of its technology platform. Later, at Prensa Ibérica, he coordinated the integration and evolution of the digital platforms used by the group’s 27 mastheads, driving their technological transformation.
Throughout his career, Herrero has worked at the intersection of technology, product and business, with a focus on platform scalability, technological innovation and the delivery of results in high-growth contexts.
According to Maria Dolores Pescador, Executive Chair of Logalty Group, this appointment reinforces the company’s commitment to technological innovation at a pivotal moment for the sector:
“The appointment of Jorge Herrero as CTO strengthens Logalty Group’s technology roadmap, with a focus on the strategic adoption of artificial intelligence across different areas of the business.”
A strategic push for artificial intelligence at Logalty
With his arrival, Jorge Herrero will drive the strategic adoption of artificial intelligence across Logalty Group’s value chain. His objectives include automating verification and regulatory compliance processes, as well as developing new intelligent products that strengthen the company’s value proposition.
This technological push comes against the backdrop of a new European regulatory cycle that will transform the digital trust services sector between 2025 and 2028, in which technologies such as digital identity, process automation and artificial intelligence will play a key role.
With this appointment and that of Javier Fernández-Peña as CSO, Logalty continues to strengthen its leadership team to accelerate technological innovation and consolidate its leadership in the field of digital trust services.
In the words of María Dolores Pescador, Executive Chair of Logalty Group: “Javier and Jorge reinforce three key levers of the company’s success: innovation in disruptive products such as the digital wallet, commercial expansion and the acceleration of the technology roadmap, with a firm focus on the strategic adoption of artificial intelligence to continue delivering reliable digital processes with full legal certainty.”
